Hey everybody! I would love any help or advice please!
We are applying for Common Law Sponsorship Outland.
I am Australian my partner is Canadian. I met my Canadian partner 4 years ago while I was in Can on a Working Holiday. Since then we have travelled together and now he is here in Aus on a working holiday visa of his own.
We are starting the process for Sponsorship now, but his visa here expires in 6 months.
On CICs website it says the process should take 11 months, so he will need to to go home to Canada and I will need to head to my hometown in AUS while I wait.
Right now we are living in a different state to my hometown. And the place we live now is temporary.
I just wonder what address we need to put on our form?
We are at this address now so its where our work history, lease agreement, bank details, JOP signage’s etc. come from, but in 6 months or less we will be gone.
How does CIC correspond within Australia? Does it matter if we move?
I read on a separate forum that changing address while the case is being processed slows it down even more.
Should I put my home (parents) address on the form even though its miles away and a different state from where we are now? Does it matter?
Also, does it matter that we will be together at the beginning of the process but apart from the middle onwards (in-case of interview or further questioning etc.)

Sorry if this is a silly or trivial question, I just can’t find any info.

Also, if anybody else has applied for their visa this way (Canadian partner in Aus with a working holiday permit at time of application) and has any suggestions or advice please feel free to shoot that my way too!

Cheers!!

You should use the address where you are actually living as your residential address. You can use your parents' address as the mailing address if you want to. Since you are applying common-law, you have to prove that you two have lived together for one continuous year, so showing the evidence you have at your current address is necessary.

Sydney is a fast office, so the app may very well be done within that time. If it's not, you can go to Canada as a visitor with your partner while you wait for the app to be processed. There is no need to be apart.

It doesn't matter if you move and it doesn't slow the app down.

No, it won't matter if you're apart. However, as I said above, there is no need to be apart. Also, there is pretty much no chance of an interview.
