I have been approved as a sponsor for my wife, so I am submitting my KIT A application for Quebec.
The problem is that I have never lived in Quebec, but in the A-1520-BA section 6 requires one of the following:

  • Bill or statement of account from an electricity company
  • Bill or statement of account from a cable company
  • Last pay stub
  • Notice of assessment from the Agence du revenu du Quebec
  • Driver's licence

plus

  • Declaration of sponsor abroad (A-0539-a)

I don't have any proof of living in Quebec, because I haven't before. All I have is the declaration of sponsor abroad. Is this ok?

I've only lived in Ottawa, which borders Quebec - I haven't been living in Canada for over 8 years.
Since I am starting all over, I would rather choose Montreal as my place to live.

Hello, I'm curious what came of your situation - as mine is very similar (have been out of Canada for 7 years, want to sponsor to Quebec but have never been resident there). Too bad no expert responded here...
