Hello!
So background: My husband and I submitted an Outland application on Dec 23, 2019. It is in process and the timeline is below in my signature. Currently is transferred to London Visa Office. My husband lives in England and I am in Kelowna to finish my degree. After, I was planning on moving to England temporarily to be with him while we wait for his PR. But someone mentioned to me that he could live here?
My questions:
Can my husband live in Canada while having an Outland application in process? Would we just have to inform IRCC of his address change? Has anyone done this and can explain their process?
My husband has an eTA that is valid for 6 months in Canada. If he moves here, can he then apply to extend visitor status to live with me in case his PR does not come through by then? I understand that he wouldn't be able to work during this period.
What are the chances of applying to extend his visitor status and having it approved or would we have to move to England?
Also, since we haven't been able to live together since we were married and only have been able to visit when I am off from school, is there a way to submit more voluntary proof of relationship? I'm assuming us living together would help prove our relationship as genuine as we had an elopement and unusual family circumstances.
We would, of course, be willing to go back and forth to England if need be to deal with the application.
Thank you in advance!
** I also understand that processes are different right now due to Covid situation and I am not planning on this until end of this year**
