Outland application from Japan - Option C Required?

I've been living in Japan for the past few years and have been filing my taxes online every season.

I'd like to send my application in soon but I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience sending theirs in without an Option C printout.
I just realized that I may need one to complete my application.

Is the printout really necessary since I haven't claimed any income in Canada for the past few years?

As it's the weekend, I'll be requesting mine on Monday when CRA is open but the main thing is that I'm worried it'll take 2 weeks to a month to arrive which will delay me in sending in my application.
I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Some send it and some don't. I did since it took just a phone call, no fees to get it, etc. It can take several weeks to get. In Korea, it took me 3-4 weeks.

I didn't include my Option C when my Japanese wife and I sent in her PR application. In lieu of an Option C, I sent in my pay vouchers (12 months) with their English translations that I translated myself. I had no issues.
