Hello,

I am a French citizen, I had been living in Canada under a working visa but things didn't go well during the renewal so I went back to France. My girlfriend and I have a little 21 month old boy and she we have filled out the application for inland, but the realized it takes less time to do it outland. The thing is that the paperwork required is exactly the same no difference from inland application to outland application to France.

If we send the application how will they know it's outland instead of inland if there is really no difference?

Hi

There are actually quite a few differences: different checklists, some different forms, different requirements and different organization. A visa officer will have no trouble figuring out whether it's inland or outland.
