So I need someone to calm me down because I'm freaking out. DH and I are crossing the border on Thursday to fly off to New York to see his family. I'm nervous about returning. Since he is applying outside of Canada, he comes up as a visitor. The thing is we never know how long he will actually be staying and our application is listed as "In Progress."
A) Anyone have any experience with this, driving across the US border specifically?
B) Any tips? We usually say as little as possible, but for some reason it always (read ALWAYS) stresses me out.
C) Has anyone ever been rejected?
I talked to CIC and was pretty honest about this situation, now I'm concerned there will be a note on our file.
