OUT OF STATUS - want to write an exam

Hi guys,
I just ran out of my status as a worker,but I have been approved by the ministry of training to write an exam.Can I request CIC for an extension of a month or 2 to prepare for and write that test???
Please advice.

You need to apply to restore your status and convert your status to that of a visitor.
