I have have a fiance in the usa who is out of status. As a canadian citizen, can I sponsor him to canada. Will his out of status affect the canada Spousal sponsorship?

There will of course be more scrutiny of the application especially given current US immigration program but it is possible. Do they have a valid passport? If an interview is required it will likely be in their home country.
