out of status in canada

HI,

Almost 3 yrs back i came to canada as a student. Did 1 yr course from humber college then got 1yr wp. I applied for lmo and wp extension but my application is cancelled saying that lmo rules are changed. Mine age wage was 17$ immigration officier said pay wage should be more than 21$ in Toronto. My lawyer can we cant reappeal as rules are changed and its damn tough to get approval due to recently happenened frauds. Still i have 2 months in hand to have my status legal in canada. I am so much confused now wat to do next:

I want to apply for visitor visa to restore my status but my lawyer said it would be rejected as u have no reason to stay in canada. What if i say to take care of my grandmom becoz she remains sick and quite old.
or my bf has canadian PR we gonna get married soon so wanna stay here.

Or the last option is to take studies but i don't wanna waste money again on studies now.

talk to your employer if they can raise their pay .... and you can find some way around with your employer ...

You obviously applied before the changes and because the wage was less than the median, the application was automatically rejected. Are you currently out of status? If not, then your employer could apply for an LMIA(former LMO) again. They don't have to change your wage as long as they don't exceed the cap in lower wage TFWs, they'll just have to pay $1000 instead of the $275 that it used to be. If you are out of status, you'll have to ask for restoration and remain as a visitor until your employer manages to get the LMIA.

So it all begins from your employer. If the number of TFWs exceeds the cap, then they'd have to raise your wage above the median and provide a transition plan to Canadian workforce instead.
