Out of Status Documentation

Hello everyone, I really hope someone can help with this, I can't find informations anywhere...

I am about to apply for permanent residency under Family class - Common law spouse sponsorship.
I came to Canada as a visitor but my visa is expired which I know shouldn't be an issue since Canada Immigration Office allows me to apply anyways.
The problem is that on the Document Checklist they ask for "out of status documentation" and I have no idea how to provide that. I can't find anything useful online.

I really hope some of you had the same problem and solved it :)

Thanks so so much :)

They just mean send them a photocopy of the expired visa. As opposed to sending them nothing because it's out of status and you think it doesn't matter anymore.

Awesome, thanks so much for your quick reply.
One more question, I am an italian citizen so I didn't need a written visitor visa, what kind of documents should I provide?

Thanks again :)

Photocopy of your passport stamp. That's your visa equivalent.

Thank you so much!
I thought so but it's nice to have a confirmation :)

I also printed out the page of the canadian government that says that as an Italian Citizen I don't need a written visa... I figured too many documents is better then not enough.. :)

Have a great day you guys and thanks so much again!
