Hi everyone, does anyone knows how long it takes to sponsor a non-accompanying spouse residing in Brazil? Is it hard?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
Sorry I should have been clearer. Once I get the PR through the express entry I am planning to sponsor my spouse but since I'll be alone when becoming a PR I am wondering what are the delay for me to sponsor my spouse that is residing in Brazil.CDNPR2014 said:what immigration stream are you referring to? this board is for citizens/pr's sponsoring their spouses for PR through the spousal sponsorship stream. It does not have a non-accompanying option.
post this question to the express entry board. the application process and timing is different than spousal sponsorship.DorianCarlmikael said:Sorry I should have been clearer. But my question is only about the sponsorship process. How long would it take to go from the out land path for someone in Brazil. The fact that I got the PR from the express entry wouldn't change the process.DorianCarlmikael said:Hi everyone, does anyone knows how long it takes to sponsor a non-accompanying spouse residing in Brazil? if you have pr status and will be sponsoring her through the spousal sponsorship stream, then find the thread specific to the brazil visa office to see the current trend. there may be a spreadsheet to follow. the list on the cic website is not a true average.DorianCarlmikael said:But my question is only about the sponsorship process. Thanks. 20 months seems a lot for the out land process :/ that's a long time to spend apart :/CDNPR2014 said:if you have pr status and will be sponsoring her through the spousal sponsorship stream, then find the thread specific to the brazil visa office to see the current trend. there may be a spreadsheet to follow. the list on the cic website is not a true average.
i don't think brazil takes 20 months. again, that is not the "Average". that number suggests 80% of applications are processed WITHIN that time, meaning 79.9% of applications are processed quicker than that. again, to find the real time processing, find the thread specific to Brazil. my guess it is more like 7-10 months.DorianCarlmikael said:Thanks. 20 months seems a lot for the out land process :/ that's a long time to spend apart :/
