Wow...so they are still forwarding files to Mexico? CPP-O must really be busy then.

I was surprised too. I only had one email ID on their file and we've always corresponded through that email. And PPR was somehow sent to a different email address (my spouse's old work email overseas and misspelled) I don't know how it's possible as we never corresponded with them using that email and it's already inactive coz he's already here in Canada... that's why I said weird twist of fate or just my luck! but yes all that just happened to me...

Timeline:
Feb 11, 2011 - Initial application submission
July 24 - Medical received
July 31 - Medicals done
September 23 - Courier sent to Mexico for additional documents
ECAS was showing "... we started processing on November 8, 2013."
November 25 / December 12 - PPR

congrats MYRADIOMAX...
my ECAS is showing samething "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on October 24, 2013."
but still no PPR. dont know what they are doing with my file...

yes i emailed them and they replied that they are doing Background/Security check on my file. And it is done by third party.
And I dont know if that third party sucks like CIC and are lazy as them...

I finally landed yesterday (Sunday) night at the Rainbow bridge (no long waits whatsoever)...

Timeline: Got PPR on December 12... Took a one day shipping via UPS.. However, UPS delivered my passport only on December 18.. IKR!!!
On January 2, my status online has changed to Decision Made and surprisingly on January 3, I got my passport back! WHOA! Thanks be to God!

Decided to go to the border when it's the least busy... Crossed Rainbow Bridge to the US... Had some fun time in the US side of Niagara (yes with a US visa)... and then after a few hours came back to the border to land. There were no wait times at the border at all... Proceeded with landing.. CBSA officer gave me a yellow slip and asked me to park and come through the main office. Before I had a chance to browse through what the yellow slip was about, another border officer took it just as I was parking the car. Proceeded inside the office as instructed and gave the papers. They asked for proof of funds or proof of employment and I gave the latter. Then after 10 minutes of waiting (no cellphones allowed), signed the papers and felt one of the best feeling in the world. Fulfillment! Like almost everyone else, after almost 3 years of waiting.. it is finally over (the PR that is). All the best to everyone who are still waiting...

jeeeeez i was thinking to be at the end of the trip, i have received my PR card for me and wife (it took 2 months) but they finally said pic for kids are not correct ... have to send it again !

jeeeeez i was thinking to be at the end of the trip, i have received my PR card for me and wife (it took 2 months) but they finally said pic for kids are not correct ... have to send it again !

Still at least the bigger hurdle is over...

My file was submitted to Sydney NS on Dec 28 2012, then they forwarded to Ottawa on Feb 13 2013, then Ottawa submitted my file to Mexico on Dec 13, 2013.

So now they said to wait 2 months and then they will contact me. That's all I know!

ok this is the end of the PR story for me, everyone got his card (kids were delayed because of pics). so let's see for citizenship as things are changing fast ...

i guess we will need to re-apply for PR !

We got our PPR request today from Mexico, they have indicated a visa expiry date and have asked to travel to Canada before that date. Anyways finally some good news..Good luck to those waiting..Mexico is acting now!!!

Well, looks like Mexico Office is taking their time, I did receive a letter requesting update of documents at the beginning of July 2014, I sent them and I receive a e-mail confirming the reception of the docs, but they said to wait until contacted again! my work permit will expire in September 2014, I guess I have to get a new work permit while waiting for Mexico to work on mt FSW application...... any comments?

could you please share your times... i applied fsw 2014.. i received PER in september 2014and i am also with mexico visa office....how long it takes to hear from them?
