Hello guys,

My wife redid her medicals (x-ray only) from outland and sent it to Ottawa because in 2011 she did the medicals in Canada but not in Europe. So that is ok but I will be thankful to know about your experience with Ottawa and especially how long I suppose to wait for an answer from Ottawa. It should be the last step before the passport's request I hope.

Best regards and thanks in advance!

Dourdon: Once Medical results are assessed by CIC and no further tests are required, eCas system (usually) will show a line 'Medical results have been received'. There is no fix time period within which you will see such update. From the information and updates posted by members on this forum, it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to few months. Generally after you pass the Medicals, background checks etc., all documents are in order, all fees have been paid, and a positive decision has been made, CIC will request Passport.

Take Care.

i dont think there´s a specific timeline after redoing medicals, im in my 7 weeks of waiting... ¨each case is different¨ as they say . so just hope for the best.

Thank you very much guys! Obviously it doesn't sound very optimistic but in this stuff unfortunately there is no optimism.

Thank you once again and good luck to you!
