Ottawa Pilot

Hello Everyone,

My application was recieved by CPC-M on 31st Jan.

I recieved an email from ottawa pilot today.. stating resubmit a couple of forms which are already there in the application.. they are just too lazy to look.. i mean who in their right mind is going to miss IMM0008 seriously.. we dont have dependants so only one form.

anyhow.. I have emailed them and hopefully might hear.. just wanted to ask if anyone had emailed ottawa and actually recieved a reply?

Did you receive the approval for your sponsorship? I assume yes. So your file was transferred for Ottawa pilot program for the second stage. right?

I will just send them what they requested.

actually no.. no approval.. they said they cant process further untill application is complete. but funny thing is I just replied to the email and then I received a call.. they found the forms... now they sent me the approval.

mroliveland my file too was transferred to Ottawa pilot for the sponsor approval (and many other January files and probably February files too)...Missisauga was probably overwhelmed and sent some workload to Ottawa too...saying that, it could mean that people being processed in Ottawa for their 2nd stage might wait even longer :

i first heard of this office reading abt people's successfull appeals: once the appeal was won their files started to b transfered there instead of their past VO for a faster processing....then when Cairo office was closed last year those files were transfered in Ottawa and some still r....same with Damascus office, when they started to have problems in that country and stopped sending new files there, they were sending them to Ottawa.....now, in January, they even sent files for the sponsor approval....it seems that that office is a backup when others r overloaded, but it also seems that this pilot office starts to b overloaded too :

I'm thinking that Ottawa is going to be the overflow office which should be good news for us waiting while processing times are getting longer. I live here in Ottawa and have seen a surge of job postings for Immigration case workers lately. There's been nearly a dozen postings just in the last month. Ottawa has taken a huge hit with lay offs concerning government workers and Immigration seems to be the one area where they are actively recruiting new positions. We can hope at least that this is the case!
