Note that the Normal Processing times for your file is 10 months from receipt at CPP-O of an updated application forms and supporting documentation. Please do not send status enquiry on your file if it is still within its Normal Processing time. The officer in carriage of your file will inform you in due course of any action being taken on your file as it occurs.
OK, so let's just have a look at our history of communication with CPPO:

13 April 2010: AOR of documents

Applications for permanent residence in Canada in the category that you have applied to require on average 10 months to process at this office. If you have not received any instructions from this office by February 7, 2011, you are requested to contact this office directly
...
The London Visa office may be asked from time to time by this office to perform tasks on their behalf. Such tasks could include processing application fees (such as processing fees for newly added dependents or the Right of Permanent Residence Fee), conducting interviews or issuing Permanent Residence visas.

19 April: ask them to clarify "10 months"

It is 10 months for 80% of files to be finalized, either with a visa or with a refusal

(continued)

2 September 2010, inquiry about Meds forms

Visas would not be issued until at least early 2011

4 january, after contacting CPPO about PPRs

Our office in London should be contacting you over the next few weeks to ask for your passports, photos and a payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee. Your file appears Ready for Visa.

7 January, same question, this time to CHC London...who passes on to CPPO

Our London office does not have carriage of your file. Any enquiry must sent to our office.
Your file is still in process. We hope to be able to issue a visa within the next couple of months

SO....

When we look back at all their correspondence it does look like February might just be a great month for some of us.
Are we really expecting anything on February 7 as mentionned in the AOR? Could they really make a prediction that accurate 10 months in advance when we all know that the processing times keep getting longer? And if CPPO says Feb 7, does that really commit London to anything?
Answer on Feb 7, because you can be sure I'm going to drop them an email on that day!
What dates were you guys given in your AORs?

In my case, the date given was March 7, 2011 and I've already marked this in my calendar to send them an email if I haven't heard any good news by then!

Will London office be committed to this date? I don't think so. But I don't think that the delay (if any) will be much further than the date given in the AOR (provided there are no complications in the file)

I'm sure everyone in this thread will be more than eager to see how they respond to your email on February 7 ;)

Thanks, and good luck

I have been communicated March 10,2011 would be your last day of 10 months which CPPO promised in their letter of receipt of documents. I have not even received Medical letter from them. As per current situation, it is harder to believe that my case would be finalised by the deadline.

We can do only WAIT.

INSHALLAH very soon we will all be receiving goooooooooooooooood news from Canadian visa offices.

dear everyone,

I just want to ask for help once again.

Regarding representative cancellation, yesterday I sent an email to Ottawa advising them to forward all future correspondences to us directly since we have decided to handle our case personally. After a day I got a reply from Ottawa requiring me to send a written authorization to cancel the use of representative.

I am confused, to whom shall I address the letter which Im going to make? Can I just scan the letter and send to them via email or send it together with the requested documents once again?

We have decided to discontinue the services of our representative since its already 2nd time that Ottawa requested us to submit updated documents apart from the one last March (if you will include that 3 times already). I just felt that our representative is not analyzing our case properly and we believe that we can do it better..

Please advise. Many thanks

A written authorization? Mmmmm not very clear you're right. To me it sounds as if they want you to send them a letter authorizing them to send you the information directly, but again that is strange... You can maybe scan your letter with a handwritten signature and ask them if that is OK or if they want anything else...
I'm not sure, wait for other people's advice, too :)!

Ya true, they require an authorisation letter from yourself authorising them to send all correspondances to you and not to your consultant. You can write a plain letter detailing that you have cancelled services of your agent, sign the letter and fax it to them. Once faxed, mail the same letter to them as they don't sometimes take fax as official document.

Also, it is very important to change your postal address (using ecas) so they send all future mail to you instead of your consultant.

Here Check out this links:

I am not sure whether that is the correct postal address though. I personally don't think that you should have sent it to the same address where you sent your update docs to.
By the way, could you please confirm when you were advised to send your updated documents to OTTAWA.
October2007 applicants seem to be still waiting for docs update letter request or are you just one of the lucky ones?
Have they started choosing files randomly?

Hello
Back from my holiday and still nothing.
I have been thinking, since we all sent our documents so long ago now, does anyone think that CIC Ottawa or London will ask us to send updated police certificates. Theoretically, all our police documentation would be expired already. What about other documents such as language proficiency tests, proof of funds...?
I am worried that all that will delay thing even further. In my original AOR letter for my receipt of documents I was given the date of 06 March 2011 to contact them. Since my medicals will expire in July this year.
Is there anyone who did their medicals this long ago and still waiting for PPR request?

Welcome back edupolo!
The date we were given was February 7, and if there's no mail from London/Ottawa tomorrow at 5pm we'll send them one demanding precise info. After all the AOR did say "you are REQUESTED to contact us"
Be sure to let you guys know!
Did our meds in September so not quite as early as you, I think you were the first one.

Another thing is worrying me: on trackitt it would seem that in the whole month of January, only a handful of London applications got their PPRs. Of course not everyone is on trackitt, but still...

Nectar, any thoughts?
