Is it advisable to send my only original copy?
I thought that a photocopy would suffice in my application so I was not able to request before for another copy to be sent to canadian immigration.

Must send original. No choice.

If you want another copy, you may contact your testing center and purchase an additional copy (you can't get another copy to keep for free).

Won't I need the original again? Maybe when I get interviewed or something?

No.

Unless you want it for personal reasons - CIC wise, once is enough.

I applied through CEC and wasn't asked to do an interview - after I include my original in my application, I wasn't asked again for it.
