ordered for deportation but stayed what can he do ????

my husband was ordered for deportation in 2011 and they did not accept his prra he is from Honduras and does not want to return is there any way he can stay he can also get a letter for work if that helps him we have no children but he is a father to my 6 year old since he was 2 years old he has no criminal record either all he did wrong is stay in Canada.

You can try sponsoring him for PR using the inland spousal sponsorship process. However it will likely be a few years before his PR is finalized and there is always a chance he will still have to leave the country. No - getting a letter for work won't help.

Though we probably assume that since he lost his PRRA and hasn't left, the deportation is order is effective. If he doesn't report for removal, then there is a good chance that a warrant for his arrest will be issued.

Just out of curiosity, how is he working. Was he able to get a work permit when he first applied, I assume as a refugee? I know an arrest order can follow a deportation order but I don't think it just happens. Usually it happens when someone comes before the police for some other reason, even a minor reason such as a driving infraction but just wondered if someone can continue to work, file tax returns, etc. and no red flags pop up.
