Options for Foreign Experienced Teacher

Hi,
My mom has 13 years of teaching experience with IB certification. She stopped teaching since the last two years due to personal reasons. I have some queries regarding immigration:

• Is there an alternative to obtaining. B.Ed in order to teach in Ontario such as a short dilpoma?
• Is it worthwhile learning French considering she is of 55 years of age now and have a low CRS score?

Her chances of obtaining PR through an economic immigrant stream will be very low given her age. Yes, she should learn French. She will want to do this at an accelerated rate and will need to achieve CLB7.

She needs a BEd if she wants to teach at a publicly funded school in Ontario.
