Hi Everyone,

I am in a weird situation as far as my CEC process goes and would really appreciate it if someone can help me out by providing some options for me.

I on a one year PGWP which is set to expire in the first week of January next year so I am not eligible to extend my PGWP under the new public policy. I started my current NOC B job in Sept '21. I have a masters from back home and have CLB 10, so my CRS score is 486. I am in Ontario working for an international HR firm.

So, here is the situation. I want to enter the express entry pool in August/Sept and wait for the ITA. If I do not get an ITA by the time my PGWP expires, what options do I have? And how likely is it that I would get the ITA by the end of the year considering the files in the pool at the moment?

If someone can shed any light on the available options, I'd be so grateful.

Thank you so much!

- Your score is good. Hopefully you get ITA before your PGWP expires. If you get ITA before your PGWP expires and also submit your complete application before expiry, then you can apply for a BOWP while you wait for the PR application to be processed. I don't think any of us can tell you the likelihood of you being selected by then.
- You can look into the PNP program for the province you're working in and see if you can apply through that.
- If you have a super supportive employer, perhaps they are willing to go through the LMIA process so that you can switch to a closed work permit.
