Hi!

I am a Canadian citizen living in the U.S. with my husband for 10 years now. I haven't worked in Canada for 10 years and haven't worked in the U.S for 3 years (Stay at home mom.)
What do I need to do in this case then? What would need to be in the letter stating why I don't have a Option C.

Thanks.

You would explain exactly why you don't have an option C, just like you did here ;) It doesn't need to be all 'legalese' and such, just nice and simple explanation.

Assuming you're sponsoring your hubby to come to Canada as a PR, be sure to include how you both will survive once he's gotten his PR approval. You can list his income and or skills, or whatever you want to explain how you have been making ends meet and what will be done once you've come to Canada to again make ends meet.

It's not as tough as it all appears to be. Just take a deep breath and work one problem at a time.

Best of luck to you!

Do I have to submit proof of my American spouses income? He's the only one working.

No, you don't need proof of his income.

I would suggest you mention it in your letter explaining why you have no option C, for obvious reasons and also in your letter about how you will support yourselves without welfare once he's granted his PR. I don't think either of those will require actual proof of his income.
