I have a question about the option C printout that we received from CRA

First of, it doesn't say Option C anywhere. It says 'Income tax return information - Regular'. It is a single page with information on both sides.
Is this the correct printout that we are looking for as an Option C?

Also, according to the checklist it says to submit Option C printout and all income slips (T4, T4E, T5.........)

Do we need to submit the T4 slips received from the employer?
If yes, do they have to be original?

The option C is a special document. You have to call CRA and request a copy if you want one.

We have already requested the Option C from CRA. It came in the mail yesterday.
My question is that the document (single page) that arrived doesn't say Option C anywhere.
Can someone please tell how does an option C printout look like.

Also, do we need to submit the T4 or any other income slips with the application in addition to the Option C?

We are doing the inland spousal sponsorship.

That's the document I got too... it does not say "Option C" anywhere. Include your T4 from 2012 tax year. You only get a T5 if interest earned on your investments(bonds, stocks, RRSP, etc) are over $50. The bank usually sends this to you. If you didn't get a T5, then you don't submit one. If you have any savings, include proof of it - our lawyer recommended this to us.

Thanks a lot SenoritaBella :)

Hello Dime,

You must have heard of CODE 3 on television for an emergency vehicle responding to a call. Code 3 is a “Life-threat response. Emergency traffic or simultaneous use of lights and siren required in order to achieve a rapid response.”

Option C is Revenue Canada “code 3” lingo. Option C is basically your year end tax assessment return once you have filed your tax return with Revenue Canada.

In addition, you should get a letter from your employer stating how much you make for the year, how long you been working there, and your job title. It does not hurt to include your previous year tax assessment in your application. You want to:

“prove that you have sufficient income to provide basic requirements for your spouse or common-law partner’s dependent children. To do this, you must provide documents showing your financial resources for the past 12 months.”

Thank you Vietnam2013 :)
