option C printout question

I am a Canadian citizen currently living in Austria with my Austrian wife. I will be moving to Canada for a job in October. We are putting together our application package.

My only worry is about the option C printout. during 2009 I was mainly travelling and staying in Austria with my wife. We were marred in August (2009) so there after I was living with her officially. I however had no income in 2009 and have yet to file my taxes for that year (I am going to send it in tommorow). I know I should have done this sooner, but it is too late for that now. I imagine it will take some time for it to show up in the Canadian Revenue Agency's system. We will have everything else ready to send in by the end of the month.

My question is, do you think it is reasonable to omit the option C printout and write a letter explaining my situation. I would include pay stubs for the work i've done since January (i've been an english teacher since then), my job offer in Canada, a letter from my boss stating I will be employed as of October.

I know this is not ideal, but will it pass??

yes, you should be fine. the instructions state that you should explain the reasons for not submitting an Option C printout, and you can always send it along to CIC once you receive it.

I agree, that I think this will be fine. Explain why you don't have one and provide other supporting documents. In the end you aren't required a certain financial requirement unless you are in Quebec)
