Opportunities for Chartered Accountant from India

Hi,

My name is Karan and I am a Chartered Accountant from India, I came to know about the MOU between Institute of Canadian CPA and ICAI.
It says, ICAI member can give UFE and get membership for Canadian CPA.
Can anyone help me on following points:
1. They say there is work experience requirement, but somewhere they also talk about waiver of experience requirement for international students;
2. Are there good job opportunities in Canada, currently;
3. If I want to do it, how should I proceed.

Thanks,
Karan.

Contact CGA and/or CPA canada. They will assess your qualification and give you credits and suggest any courses you should take to be canadian equivalent.

Jobs..............it is not straightforward. You might or might not get a good job initially but rest assured if you have skills and qualifications, you will surely get your dream job.

Hi Karan

My wife is a CA and I am an IT programmer. I am planning to apply with my wife as primary applicant.

Do you know how much points Chartered accountant may get out of 25 max. I heard from a consultant it will be 23. But I am not convinced with this information from the consultant, as another person with master of commerce degree also managed to get 23 points from that consultants evaluation.

I cant believe M.Com and CA get you same points, i.e. (23 points) ..? If you have any idea about this, please reply back urgently... Points for chartered accountants under FSW - Education category

Hi there,
while going thro the websites of CA institute of Toronto and Albeta, there are different formalites for Indian CAs. I just landed in Edmonton, Alberta. What will be the better option toget the CA memership of Canada???
