opening bank account in toronto

Please can people who have landed in toronto share thier experience of opening bank accounts in toronto and the best bank to go to.

I heard u need a proof of ID showing home address before you can open a bank account.

pls share your experience.

We landed 20 some days ago
Opening bank account is not hard at all
Your passport(s), COPR, and most importantly SIN numbers, will serve as ID
You will get to,open your account in no time, and you will also get ur ATM card then and there

I like TD bank, lots of branches, open late hours, and 7 days a week
