Open Work Permit

My soon to be husband and I are starting to collect documents and fill out forms for his Inland application. Just inquiring what form needs to be filled out to apply for Open Work Permit?

IMM 5710E (only if applying Inland; OWP is not available for an Outland applicant).

Fee is $255 total ($155 + $100)

Yes, if the applicant still has legal status. This will give the person implied status (throughout the process) and will also qualify them for the Pilot OWP, which is issued after ~ 4 months, rather than ~16 months for those without status.

However...if the OWP application is returned, due to an error on the applicant's part (missed signature, for example) this could jeopardize the implied status, so...be very careful!
