Hello everyone,
My partner and I have a couple of doubts about how to proceed with my application.
We are both in Canada since end of summer 2014 and now we are trying to stay longer.
She has been accepted for a second year with a Young Professionals Visa, but I couldn't even apply because the procedure for my country is different.
I have been reading several forums and the immigration website and apparently I can apply for an Open Work Permit, but here is where we find the issues:
- When she is asked if "your common-law is coming with you to Canada?" what should she say? Because I am already in Canada....
- When I am asked in the online application "will you accompany your common-law who has a status in Canada?", I should say yes, I think.
- Should I flagpole with her the moment she wants to activate her new visa even if I don't have anything?
-Should we go to a notary and obtain a common-law declaration?
Thanks for your answers.
