Hello,
My girlfriend and I are about to submit our PR application under Common-Law sponsorship -- my girlfriend is the Canadian sponsor and I'm from Argentina. I'm also going to submit an open work permit application to go with it.
Our current issue is as follows: I have a TRV extension application that is still being processed, and my current TRV status has expired (I submitted the extension request on time, per their guidelines). When filling out the form for the open work permit application, they ask for my status in Canada. If I put in "visitor", the form asks for my From and To dates. The problem is I don't yet have the TRV extension so I don't know what the "To" date is, and since my old TRV is already expired, the form won't let me put in that date.
I wasn't able to find any guidelines on this particular issue. What's the best way to go about this?
As an addendum, we are submitting everything by mail, so we will be printing the form.
Thanks in advance.
