Hi everyone, can anyone help me? I have a open work permit that is valid until 2026, and have an multiple visitor visa until 2028, i have also a pending PR inland sponsorship inland but I am planning to have a vacation in the Philippines for 3 weeks, am I allowed? And what are needed documents coming back to canada and does it affect our application? Thank you

Traditionally IRCC overlooks short vacations during inland sponsorships. The only risk is if you receive P1 before you leave or P2 while aboard. You will want to inform IRCC that you are going on vacation and your return date if you receive P1 somewhat close to your vacation date so you can be in Canada when you receive eCOPR.

Thank you for the response! Please enlighten me about the P1 and p2? Because when we apply Inland sponsorship in april 2024 the portal we use is the portal of my spouse. Thank you

P1 would confirm that you are still in Canada. P2 is eCOPR. You are close to 1 year processing time so there is a good chance you are close to the end of the process unless you live in Quebec. Once you receive eCOPR you will need a PR card or PRTD to reenter Canada by plane.

Thank you for the response, in my case it's been a year the application. We applied april 2024 and still in P1. Question, do I need to inform IRCC for my vacation? Thank you

So if you have already received P1 and have confirmed that you are in Canada this gets more difficult. You can send in a webform saying you are going on vacation but this may not be received before eCOPR is processed. When are you going on vacation? When did you confirm that you were in Canada after the P1 email? Do you have a US visa and could you fly to the US and enter a land border if necessary?
