Open Work Permit vs Visitor Visa

Hello. I want to apply for an open work permit as my husband is studying in Canada.

The situation is I am already a holder of Canada 10 years visitor visa.

If I apply for an OWP then, will the CIC take back my 10 years visitor visa then issue me another visa along with the OWP.

I think so that will be with you only. But u will get work permit till your husband is studying. And then whenever he will apply for his work permit you can also extend your work permit with him.

I have also applied the same. Lets c whenever it will come. I will let u know.

I can enter Canada with my visitor visa.

The questionis, if I got an OWP, whether the visitor visa will be withdrawed by CIC?

I know the OWP will have the same duration as my husband's SP. If the owp holder left Canada before the expired date, like 2018, is the holder able to re-enter Canada with this OWP before 2018.
