Hi There,

My wife is a Canadian PR card holder and she is sponsoring my dependant PR. I landed in Canada on May 25th 2018.

Last week, I have submitted the Open WOrk Permit Visa application along with the Dependant PR through IRCC/CIC website. Just curious to know how much time it would take to get the Open Work Permit Visa so that I could start working. IRCC website shows around 2 months but, i have heard people getting it in 4-5 weeks.

Could you also please throw more light on dependant PR processing time. In IRCC website it shows 12 months!

Processing times for open work permits connected to spousal sponsorship applications is 2-4 months (not weeks).

Hello All,
I submitted Open Work Permit and Dependent PR applications (In-Land) on June 21st, 2018 and it was received on June 22, 2018. Received my AOR on August 01, 2018. Exactly in the sixth week. It usually takes 6-8 weeks to receive an AOR.
- Have read that many people are getting Open Work Permit in 12-14 weeks. Could you please confirm the same. If yes, then I have completed my 11th week today!
- Also when I linked my application online, I remember seeing the status as 'Applicaion in Process'. Today the status is showing 'Appliation in Progress'. Is this some kind of progress in application or just a change in the wordings!

Kindly let me know your thoughts on the above mentioned points.

Just getting curious and excited with this long wait!

Hi,

I am applying for a work permit (Intra Company Transfer) through my employer. I did my medical examination from an IRCC authorised panelist from India, providing my passport as an identity document. Later my passport was damaged and I got a new passport with my old passport number printed in it. However, the medical test result shared to IRCC by the hospital would hold my old passport number and the test result is valid until Aug-2019.

Could you please advise if I need to appear for another medical test with my new passport? It will be of great help, if you could guide me in order to get my Visa application processed successfully.
