Open Work Permit Validity

Hi All,

I have a question in relation to the open work permit.

As a common-law partner of applying together with my partner who is applying for a a work permit, if both permits are approved I understand that the open work validity will be the same as the one of my partner.

What happened if my partner with the work permit decides to change job before the end of the contract length, he will have to apply for a new work permit but would that means that my open work permit will be terminated?

Your work permit would remain valid until it expires.
