Open Work permit to ICT

Hi,
I am currently in Canada on open work permit as my spouse is on ICT. Now my organisation would like to file my own ICT while I am in Canada (I meet all the requirements of managerial ICT). My queries are:
1. Can i process ICT while i am in canada which is like an amendment from open work permit to ict or will i have to leave to India to get this processed
2.Is this an amendment or a fresh process altogether
please advise.

The short answer is no. This is not how the ICT works.

You would need to return to India, work for your company in India for a year or more - and then they could try filing an ICT for you to come to Canada.

I heard conversion is possible, if the candidate has worked in previous company in recent past
