I am sponsoring my common-law partner and received (on Feb 12, 2025) his AiP letter informing he can now apply for OWP since eligibility was completed.
He entered Canada as a visitor in 2018 and is currently out of status (since July 2018).
I would like to know how he can apply for his OWP.
He tried to apply using his IRCC account but answering the questions resulted in "you are out of status for longer than 90 days and not eligible for restoration" message.
I was wondering if there is a step we are missing or if it is because his eligibility status has not yet been updated on his IRCC account (it was updated on the tracker).
