can someone help regarding the renewal of spouse open work permit. The situation is my wp permit will expire month togethervwith my sowp. I got the new lmo from my employer and they are the one who will renew my wp. The problem is they don' t want to include in my application wp renewal, the application for my spouse owp. Can my spouse file separate individual owp and my dependent study permit application from my wp? What are the requirements for them while im still waiting for my wp? What would happen for them since we have the same expiry and when they can apply? Pls. HELP

aCTUALLY YUNG SA FRIEND KO YUNG CASE AT YUN WP WIL EXPIRE AUG 10 PERONON PROCESS N YUNG NEW WP NYA NG EMPLOYER NYA. Ask ko lang kung pano mag renew ng owp ng spouse nya at ano dapat ipasa n requirements? Thank youfor your reply.

As a dependent My open work permit expires October 17, 2012 along with my passport, however passport was just recently renewed on September 24, 2012 for 5 years as indicated;i retained 4 authenticated copies of my passport renewal application provided by the consulate with the consuls signature affixed.
my wifes WP expires May 2014 though as she is the principal.

QUESTION:
1) what are the requirements/documents/form needed to apply to renew open work permit? should i include a copy of my wifes WP?Passport?
2) Where would i send it? How much is the Fee?

Hi mileth. we have the same problem. the representative of my employer renewed my work permit but they didn't include my wife's open work permit and my daughter's student permit. So i have a new work permit with a different expiration date with the open work permit of my wife and my daughters student permit... what should i do?? do i need to apply for them too? what requirement do i need to pass? I need help.. thank you so much...

The application at this link, 5710 asks for offer of employment, LMO, etc... But a spouse needing to extend an OPEN work permit may not have these things. As a spouse on an open work permit you do not need these things.

My husband's permit expired earlier than mine due to his passport expiring and now he needs to extend his current work permit 3 more months until mine expires. He works as a self employed individual. He tried to apply online and they are now requiring a Personal Checklist Code which is only obtained by answering questions online first. As a self employed individual they deemed my husband "ineligible" to apply for a work permit based on the fact that he does not have an "offer of employment" or LMO etc.. So he is limited to printing the application to fill out and send in. We are unsure if they will even accept that application if he cannot provide details such as employment offer and LMO. We were recently at the border (for leisure travel) and tried to renew it then, however the officer just wanted him to go home and apply inland/online instead.

Any experience with the details of this? He is wondering if he should just drive to the border to try and process it there rather than mailing in the application that he feels he cannot complete fully as it doesn't completely apply to him. (when we first obtained his permit, he is just listed as a spouse rather than having his own work permit application).
