Hi guys,

Does open work permit approval mean that the inland spousal sponsorship is likely to be approved? If not, what happens with the work permit if the sponsorship application is denied?

Does open work permit approval mean that the inland spousal sponsorship is likely to be approved? If not, what happens with the work permit if the sponsorship application is denied?

It doesn't guarantee approval. If the application is refused for some reason, then the work permit remains valid.

Thank you. It doesn't guarantee approval, but is it a good sign? The application has been processing for more than a year and the OWP was just received.
