Open work permit holder extension

Hi

my open work permit for Canada has been sponsored/processed by wife's company since she will be travelling to Canada through intra company transfer from India. I think she holds closed work permit then..

1) If I find a job there, can I work in Canada if she has been asked to come back to India or if she resigns with my open work permit?

2) can an open work permit be tied out to the company where I work?

3) can I find a job from India on open work permit rather coming there and searching?

4) can open work permit be extended irrespective of wife's presence in Canada?

3. Unlikely to get a job offer from India
4. No but you could apply for a closed work permit if the company pays to do an LMIA (proof that no Canadian is available to do the job) and your closed work permit is approved. The process usually takes 4-6 months.
