Open Work Permit for spouse?

I am applying outside Canada for a Work Permit to work as a Clinical Fellow in Orthopedic Surgery.

Is my wife entitled to an Open Work Permit?

If so, does she apply for this outside Canada or once we have entered Canada?

If it is the case that she applies once she has entered Canada - does she require any visa to enter Canada with me?

We are resident and nationals of Ireland.

your wife can apply after you have entered Canada

Ireland is on a list of visitor visa exempt countries so she doesn't need visitor visa to accompany you.
