Open Work permit for my wife with a tourist visa

Hi All,

I am on a work permit in Canada and my wife has a tourist visa which she had applied before marriage. Can she come to Canada as my dependent and apply for a open work permit after coming here?

She can visit Canada, and while visiting Canada, she can apply for a work permit as your dependent. It may not always be approved.
