I am on an OWP and working as a software engineer since 3 months and my wife is on a study permit. Both of our permits are expiring on 30th September 2023. My wife's study is completing on 21st April 2023. Now, we are confused as to how will her transition from student to PGWP holder affect my OWP status.
After she completes her studies in April 2023, the University will provide her with the docs to apply for PGWP by May and she will start looking for a job. She will be granted a 3 year PGWP as her course duration was of 2 years.
Now, my question is how will I transition my OWP for another 3 years on the basis of her PGWP ?
1. can we apply together for PGWP and SOWP extension ?
2. If yes, what docs should be provided ?
3. If no, when should I apply for my OWP extension ?
4. Is there any other pathway by which I can extend my OWP independently ?
