Open Work Permit Application - Advice

I submitted an inland application for PR together with an OWP application in August under the Spousal sponsorship class. We, however, only paid the full coverage fee for the PR as my spouse who is a citizen was under the impression that the work permit is covered by the right of permanent residence fee.

My application package was received on August 23rd, and my spouse received acknowledgment on September 18. I have successfully linked the two applications to my online account, while awaiting further instruction.

We have just realized that we ought to pay a separate fee for the OWP, and have the payment receipt attached with the paper application. Since we did not do that, I am afraid the OWP processing would be delayed or not processed at all.

Please, can I still go ahead to pay online for the OWP ? And if I succeed, where do I send the receipt to in order to avoid delay with the processing?
Also, my visiting period will be over in November, do I need to apply for extension?

Thank you.

Yes, you need to apply for an extension. You will be out of status.

They may have returned your app, although there have been some cases where they have allowed you to submit OWP payment after the fact once they've realized there is missing payment - which sounds like it could be the case here if you've received AOR. Not sure how they will handle this since you didn't pay at all (more commonly people only pay 1 OWP fee - there is 2, $155 and $100, and applicants often miss one, but not both). I would be concerned they think you don't intend to apply for the OWP at all.

I would give them a call.
