open work permit and spousal sponsorship

hi. Can i send the open work permit application together with sponsorship application??? or do i have to receive later on a letter from CIC that i can apply for open work permit. thanks

submit it along the spousal sponsorship application.. that's what I did! after 6 mos. I got my open work permit.. goodluck!

It takes six months if there are no issues with your application. It can take much longer if there are complications (e.g. you are in Canada without status, CIC has doubts about your relationship, etc.).
