Open work Permit after submitting spousal sponsorship application

Hi folks,
I was wondering if it is possible to apply for open work permit (OWP) after submitting in-land spousal sponsorship application?

I have my spousal sponsorship application linked online. When I try to use the tab "Visitor visa, study and/or work permit" it starts a spousal sponsorship application after going through the questiinnaire.

I haven't found any info about in-land work permit application form at CIC web-page.

Any help/info will be appreciated.

As long as you are currently in status, you can. However, the application must be mailed (it can't be completed online). You can find all the information here:
