Hi Members
I have got my IELTS results and they are enough to get me 16 points, now i am skeptic about one thing and wanted to ask you guys regarding your suggestion.
Please read both situations and suggest for which i should go?

Situation 1 : If i apply now the current points are 68 and the break up is as follows. I have done B.Com(2years) and doing ACCA(Association of Chartered Certified Accountants-UK) and have cleared 7 out of 14 papers(Claiming 20 points for education). I have 2 years part time and 1 year full time work experience as an Accountant in a small company(Claiming 17 points for Work exp).Have a relative in Canada and rest points are for English and age.

Situation 2 : If i wait till august and then apply, then i will be having 1.5 years full time work experience and 2 years part time experience as an Accountant ( Claiming 17 points). Education would be 14 years full time studies(same as above),last degree B.com(2years) and 10 papers of ACCA out of 14 (Claiming 20 points) and the rest remains the same.

Considering the education and work experience in mind, what do you think for which situation i should go?
I know the points will remain the same, but i want to know in which situation my case will be stronger?

Guys your suggestions are highly appreciated.

God bless you all.

Doesn't make a difference in points between the two situations. I guess if you're not really in any hurry then wait until August to solidify your work experience. I mean the process is fairly fast nowadays that it doesn't matter much if you wait a few months to begin.

Just my two cents.

No i am not in the UK. I am in Pakistan and studying ACCA, since it is UK based,British council conducts examinations and the exam copies go to UK and then result comes from there.

whatever they consider i dont care because as i said earlier, i am not claiming points for ACCA. My total points are 68 and i need suggestions on whether i should apply now or later? if i apply now my ACCA passed papers will be 7 and if i apply later,in august,my ACCA passed papers will be 10 out of 14.
Please note that i am not claiming points for ACCA. I just want to make my case stronger and reduce the chances of rejection.Yes i am single.

Thanks

hi sikanderkhan
i understand ur situation. i have also studied ACCA
my suggestion is when u complete PART 1 & PART 2 (i am sayng Part 1 & Part 2 coz i completed ACCA in 2007. in 2007 if u complete 9 papers, u complete Part 1= 3 subjects & Part 2= 6 subjects. so please convert ur papers up to that), get a letter of equivalency from ACCA. this letter states that if u have completed Part 1 & 2, u have completed ur graduation which is equivalent to a UK Hons Degree. and if u complete all papers of ACCA, u have completed post graduation which is equivalent to a UK Masters Degree.

as u want to play safe, i think this equivalency certificate will give u somewhat strong base to stand. also regarding ur experience, as long as u have all the paperworks ready & complete, u can claim all the points. but i don't know, will it really matter once u get over 67. i mean if u have got 72points & if someone has got 67 points, will both of u get the PR visa or only u as u have most points or whoever applied first, i am not sure......

i hope it helps......

If case is good right now then apply right now, you never know when the rules change.

Go for Option 1

Situation 1 : If i apply now the current points are 68 and the break up is as follows. I have done B.Com(2years) and doing ACCA(Association of Chartered Certified Accountants-UK) and have cleared 7 out of 14 papers(Claiming 20 points for education). Go for it. I was sure I will get 68 points though it was veru marginal but I was sure. If you sure about your points that you make 68, then apply now.
