OOPNP/OINP nomination NOC code mismatch

Hi,

I received nomination through OINP this past Tuesday. It seems however that there is a mismatch of NOC code. The "Confirmation of Nomination" paper I received today says "2173 - Software Developer" . My EE profile has NOC code 2174 (and I indicated my job title at my company as Software Developer). My reference letter indicates both "Software Engineer / Software Developer"... I've already accepted the nomination not knowing this until today. Any advice on this? I'm debating whether I should just update my EE profile NOC code to be 2173 but worried that the specific title falls under 2174 according to the NOCs on CIC website. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Job title does not matter. It's the job responsibilities that matter.

Suggest you change noc code of your profile before you get ita.
Your pnp noc code is more applicable with your job duties and hence will be accepted by cic.

Cic does not care about the job titles. They only care about job duties.

Change your EE profile's primary NOC to 2173 and also in the PR application/post ITA if the edit wasn't applied.

If OINP determined your job description is good enough for 2173, there's a good chance CIC will do so too.

This same thing happened to me with OINP and EE. I simply changed my EE profile from 2174 to 2173.
