Hi,

I just got the email from Ontairo immigration office about my OOPNP application. And they asked for the documentation of intent to live or work in Ontario. There are only 15 calendar days for me to respond. They list possible proof that I should provide.
1. Job offers or jobs applied/interviewed for in Ontario;
2. Volunteer work in Ontario;
3. Lease agreements for a residence in Ontario or property ownership;
4. Professional networks and affiliations;

I currently live in the US. I don't know which I could give them. Had anybody have the same situation? Any suggestion is highly appreciated!

I'm wondering if you ever mentioned any ties in ON when you send your application? The list requires documentations as support.

The only time you need to furnish proof of ties to Ontario is if you have had any ties to Ontario in the first place- it is perfectly fine to not have had any, and still apply to OINP, as long as you received the nomination, of course.
So the question is, do you have any ties to Ontario? Did you note these ties in your application?

Yes, I have wrote LOI for my application, which mentioned my accademic connetions and friends in ON. But when I called to the office this afternoon, an officer said that the connection is not strong to approve that I intend to immigrate to Canada instead of the US.
I am really confused. I don't know what I have to do then.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Did you write a statement of intent with the original application?

I guess they asked for this in your case because the US is so close to Canada and your ties in the US are strong at the moment.

I'd say visit Ontario for a few days, but it's not what they requested of you, unless you do so for a job interview or get a lease on a residence there.

Actually I have been working in Toronto for one year. I could visit ON, but I still need to apply for travel visa. That will take quite long time then.

Since you worked there before, can you give professional networks and affiliations then? And the copy of your old visas/permits.

It takes 2 days to get a travel visa at my country's Canadian embassy, but I don't know how it'd be at your nearest consulate/embassy. :)

Hi, I have received Expression of Interest from Ontario PNP. I have 3 years work experience in the past ten years. However I have only got 10 months experience in the past 5 years in Skill Level NOC B, but I have already covered 1560 hours of full time work in these months. Am I eligible to apply for OINP ? Please help.

I got a negative decision on the ONIP November. But I claimed for reconsideration. It will take 120 days to make a final decision.
I Look forward to good news in 2016!

Ties of ON means you have to write a letter showing the scope of your NOC that how can it be useful to them.Show them if u have applied to any companies in ON. Also if u have any relative or friend give his details. thats all. Just convince them you will be consumed in the market and you have someone to help you initially settle down.

I feel bad for the negative decision that you received from OINP. Can you please share the reasons they mentioned? Is it related with your ties in ON, Noc mismatch or something else ?

I am sorry about the misfortune. What was the negative decision for? What happened? Could you please elaborate your situation in detail? Thanks a ton!
