Ontario PNP -- Is criminal check required when applying from within Canada?

Hello, I have applied for PR in the CIO in Nova Scotia. My visa office is CPP-Ottawa. I am applying under Ontario PNP.

I have received request to do medical, did it and sent it to Ottawa.

I have two questions:

1- How long does it take for the medical results to be reflected on ECAS (so far it says Application Received)?
2- Was I supposed to do a criminal background check? Because I don't think it was in the checklist, plus the CIO forwarded the application to ottawa, so technically it is complete.

It's not required for canada pcc, if they need they will ask for it later.

But they need pcc for every country you stayed more than 6 months from age of 18
