1. Does it matter which province I specify in my EE profile ? I selected Ontario [considering availability of jobs].
2. Is there a better match between 1 specific province and my NOC code 2171 [ IT consultants & analysts]?
3. Has someone with ITA in this NOC code specified any of the above provinces on your EE form? If not, which other province did you select?
4. Any other provinces I am missing that could have a higher likelihood of IT jobs in this NOC code?
5. My form is still in "draft" stage. Did anyone change a province before submitting the form? [I am going to try doing that]

Thanks for reading my post. Any thoughts are welcome.

You can select 'All provinces' if you are interested in all of them. And if you want, you can modify it even after submitting the profile.

Matters only if you are keen on a provincial nomination. The easiest way is to choose All Provinces & Territories. That makes you eligible for every single PNP out there provided you meet any other criteria that they might have.

2. Is there a better match between 1 specific province and my NOC code 2171 [ IT consultants & analysts]?

Doesn't matter in the EE scheme of things. You get a PR to Canada, not a province and not for a NOC.

3. Has someone with ITA in this NOC code specified any of the above provinces on your EE form? If not, which other province did you select?

Doesn't matter. An ITA will come knocking if your CRS score is higher than the cutoff of that draw regardless of what province one selected.

4. Any other provinces I am missing that could have a higher likelihood of IT jobs in this NOC code?

Once you get a PR, you are free to work and settle anywhere in Canada. Most IT jobs in this NOC code would be available in Southern Ontario, Metro Vancouver and Montreal to a lesser degree. That doesn't mean you couldn't find a job in Alberta or Manitoba under this NOC code but you'll have to search harder there than in ON, BC or QC.

5. My form is still in "draft" stage. Did anyone change a province before submitting the form? [I am going to try doing that]

You can make this change while creating the EE profile and anytime before landing an ITA.

I'll hold you to that. And if everyone on this forum who's offered to buy me a coffee keeps their word, I might be a Canadian citizen before paying for my own coffee again! ;)

Seriously, we should do that. Instead of spending several thousands for lawyers, we have free support from senior members here. I don't mind gifting $5 or $10 to someone helping me.
