Anyone here has experience in requesting an employer to fill up the Pre-screen employer form for Ontario's International Student with Job Offer Stream (OINP)? http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPSTUDENTS_JOB.html

How did you approach your employer about it and how long is the time-frame in processing?

Is it worth it to do the International Student with Job Offer Stream with Ontario or the process is faster through regular Express Entry?

I recently signed a job offer from TD Bank for a NOC B job - FSR. If someone has experience with TD Bank Group with the Pre-screen employer form it would be very helpful.

The reason why I am considering doing the OINP is due to having a score of below 400 for Express Entry.

Thanks in advance for all the advice.

Hey,

For you to apply for ISJO you need to have employer form from the Bank with a job offer which tells about your wage that should be a entry level wage in that area for the particular occuption. For the time process for ONIP nomination it takes 30-90 day but it depends on the profile of the person too. And after the nomination you apply for paper based pr which takes 18 month in total it takes around 23 months for the process of PR

Thanks for your respond.

It seems that it is a lengthy process.

Application for PR cannot be done online?

Hi, Do you have to work full 1560 hours to apply for this stream? Or just the offer mention the working hours meet that condition?

They already updated the system. Under this stream, there is no longer pre-screen process. It seems you are on the wrong page. If you click the “International student with job offer” again, it leads you to apply online page. Everything is done online.

@zzzningyi

What is the link to the new update?

On this link --> http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPSTUDENTS_JOB.html
It specifically mentions that the employer needs to submit an Employer Form for the Pre-screening, once this is approved, the document is attached to the Online Application.

Important: Before Applying as a Nominee

In order to apply as a nominee, the applicant must have a job offer that has been approved by OINP. To do this:
Ontario employers must first submit a Pre-Screen Application to have the position they wish to fill approved by OINP. For information on the Pre-Screen application process for Ontario employers, visit the Employer section of the OINP website.

Companies making an investment in Ontario under the Investment Component of OINP must first have their investment approved and endorsed by an Ontario ministry. They can then submit a Pre-Screen Application. For more information, visit the Investor section of the OINP website.

Just go to the main page, then click the stream you are planning to apply under. You will see the "Apply online" link right away.

Hello Everyone,

I have a quick question with the Pre Screen Application, Is it done before the applicant OINP application, Or is it the same as the Employer form which we submit in the processing, Along with the supporting documents,

Basically, it shows a link to download the application here and it redirects back to the Apply Online, Page link

I am confused with the process, can someone please guide me with this,

I meet the eligibility criteria for the stream and have generated a file number, Started filling my application yesterday,

Thanks

Hello,

I have a question regarding this reply,

Is it mandatory to be at an entry-level wage/Low Wage, I meet Median Wage for the job which I do,

Can I still apply,

Please let me know

Thanks

Hi,

I have recently filed OINP through International student with job offer stream.

I asked my employer to help me with it and they agreed (it is a recruitment company where I work as Recruiter).

The process is lengthy but it is worth it if you are short CRS points. I came to Canada as an International student and started working, even with job experience for 1 year my CRS score was low due to only diploma degree (as I don't have Bach. / masters degree)

For me this was the only option.

Process --

I chose to go through lawyer as in this particular category - the employer has to provide a lot many documents - many confidential documents like

- business registration number
- incorp. number
- T4As and many more
- they have to fill various forms and you have to provide employer letter's for all the jobs you have done in last 10 years

I have already filed it - status ----

OINP applied - 25th may 2018
Email of receipt of confirmation - 1st June 2018
Status - Assessment

Will keep you posted if it changes.

Also, in case u need any help, DM me and I shall give you my contact info and help in whatever way possible.

You do not need to wait for 1 year or 1560 hrs , but your employer should help you file for it.
