Hello All,

New bee to the forum and trying to gather information. My wife & I have submitted our profiles in Express Entry Pool and my wife got a CRS score of 431. I've heard she is eligible for Ontario but we were told we will get a call from Ontario for ITA. Not sure how it works but would like to get some inputs here. Please help.

1. Is OINP open now?
2. If not how soon it will be opened?
3. Any Whatsapp group to receive updates pls?

Best,
Ragha

There are a few streams under OINP.
Please check stream, which maybe applicable in your case... http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/

A lot of people are often selected under
Ontario's Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream(HCP). You can check how does that work below...
http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNP_EE_CAPITAL_HOW.html

How to Apply
Step 1: Create an online Express Entry profile

  • You must create a profile in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC’s) Express Entry system. Once you do, you will receive an Express Entry Profile Number and a Job Seeker Validation Code (also known as Candidate Identifier Code). You will need these to submit your application to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
  • When you create a profile in Express Entry, you must indicate your interest in immigrating to either Ontario or “All Provinces and Territories.”
  • You must qualify for one of two IRCC economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
Please see the Human Capital Priorities Stream Application Guide for more details, or visit IRCC’s website for more details on Express Entry.

Step 2: OINP identifies candidates in Express Entry pool

  • OINP searches the Express Entry pool on a regular basis and identifies potential candidates who may meet the Human Capital Priorities Stream criteria (see Section 2.0 of the Human Capital Priorities Stream Application Guide for more information).
  • If OINP identifies you in the Express Entry pool, you will receive a Notification of Interest from Ontario through your IRCC online account. This notification will invite you to apply to OINP for nomination under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.
Note: Receiving a Notification of Interest does not mean you qualify under the Human Capital Priorities Stream. Please consult the Human Capital Priorities Stream Application Guide in order to ensure you meet both provincial and federal criteria.

Step 3: Apply to OINP under the Human Capital Priorities Stream

  • After you receive a Notification of Interest from Ontario through your IRCC online account, you have 45 calendar days to apply to OINP under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.
  • To apply, you must submit your application through the OINP e-Filing Portal and ensure that you include all the required supporting documents.
  • All applicants must indicate which federal immigration program they wish to be assessed against: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
  • The application fee is $1,500. The fee covers the cost of processing your application and is non-refundable once you submit your application. Your fee must be paid online by credit card only (VISA or MasterCard) before your application can be submitted.
  • OINP will assess your nomination according to the Human Capital Priorities Stream eligibility criteria. Your application will also be assessed to ensure you meet the FSWP or CEC criteria.
Step 4: Accept nomination from Ontario and apply for permanent residence

  • If your application is approved by Ontario, you will receive a letter from OINP through your IRCC online account notifying you of your nomination. You have 30 calendar days to accept the nomination from Ontario in the Express Entry system.
  • A nomination from Ontario will give you an additional 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and you will receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence from IRCC.
  • Once you receive an invitation to apply from IRCC, you have 90 calendar days to submit your application for permanent residence to IRCC.
For more information on IRCC’s application process for permanent residence for provincial nominees through the Express Entry system, please visit the IRCC website.

Hey guys,

News of the day, Ontario has again started issuing NOI from today. The only bad news is that they are still issuing it to the French speaking people with CLB 7 in tef. Well, its not at all a good news but at least something to cheer about after a long drawless federal week & OINP being stop for a long time.

I work in london,UK and my native place is Delhi,India.

1. For PPC,
For UK PPC , I can apply online in UK
For Indian PCC, There are 2 options -
1.
I can apply online on Delhi Police website-
http://www.delhipolice.nic.in/citizen_services.html
Benefit-
A.It cost less
B.I don't have to give my passport

2.
I can apply for Police clearnace from Indian embassy VFS office in UK
Cons-
1. Expensive
2. I have to send my passport for 4-5 weeks :(

So, can i go with first approach?

2. For medical test from prescribed doctors

1. In UK Medical cost 350 pounds
2. In India, it cost Rs 5000/-

Moreover , I have to go India and I am getting the appointment in 60 days period.
So, can i get my medical done from India?

Please Suggest.

Thanks,
Sangeeta

If you wanna get your PR application. rejected for sure apply for PCC and do the medicals from India.

Read this:
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/reasons-for-rejection-faraz-summary.471670/

You are based in UK, you should apply from CGI or Indian Embassy in UK
Same goes for medicals, do your medicals through a panel physician in UK

Please don’t try and outsmart the system chances are high you will end up having your application rejected because of the PCC issue

BLS in Toronto who does PCC for Indian passport holders also told us 3-4 weeks. We got the PCC within the same week

Thank you so much for your quick response and sharing that useful link.
For medical, I found some links which stated that it can be done anywhere in the world.
Please have a look and let me know if you have a diffetent view now.

Thx for sharing it Sangeeta. It’s clear from the doc you provided medical can be done from anywhere in the world, so I will not argue.

But Just for medical I will not fly from UK to Delhi :D.

Incase you choose to travel, you can only apply for PCC to CGI after you have come back from India.

Secondly god forbid, if you have to redo your medicals (if IRCC determines) you may have to travel back again eh?(just a thought)
