I think I know the answer to this but I thought I might as well ask.

I am applying for my Canada visa through the FSW program.
Language - 24 points (English)
Age - 2 points (I'm 45 and this is letting me down)
Work Experience - 15 points
Education - 21 points
Arranged Employment - 0 points
Adaptability - 0 points (There is only me, so no spouse)

I've tallied my points and only have 62.

Does anyone have any suggestion for how I could gain 5 points or if my application will automatically be rejected with only 62?

Thank you in advance.
Mark

Only a spouse's IELTS certificate could have helped...

It's such a pity that this is also impossible :-[

Even though you might not qualify for the FSW program, have you explored other options such as direct hire by a Canadian employer? I assume that you have a good 20+ years of experience under your belt (given your age)
You might be able to use your experience to your advantage if you searched for companies that have operations in multiple countries e.g. consulting firms, multi-geography operations etc.
A closed door does not mean that it is the end. It just means that you have to find the right door!
Good luck!!

I might have to take that approach instead.
Arranged employment looks like my only option.
If you have a relation (brother, sister, aunt, niece, nephew, dad or mum who is a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada and it can be proved documentally, that can fetch you 5 points. Look into the Provincial Nominee option too.
